The Island of Jersey.

Said to be the warmest and sunniest place in the British Isles, Jersey lies 100 miles south of England and just 14 miles from France. On a clear day, its close proximity allows fantastic views of the Normandy coast from the north-west cliffs of the Island.

Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands measuring 45 square miles. It has one of the highest tidal ranges in the world and almost doubles in size when the tide recedes. At low tide, huge expanses of sand bars, gullies and reefs are exposed which at high tide, are completely covered by upto 40 feet of Atlantic Ocean.

Although Jersey's allegiance is to the British Crown, it is not a part of the United Kingdom and is not represented in the British Houses of Parliament. With a population of over 98,000, Jersey proudly possesses its own democratically elected Parliament ...
