The Narodowy Bank Polski issued Polish Zloty banknotes in 19 different denominations, including this 10000 old Polish Zlotych banknote (Stanis?aw Poniatowski). They are part of the old Polish Zloty banknotes series. The Narodowy Bank Polski started issuing these 10000 Polish Zloty banknotes in 1987. They were withdrawn from circulation in 1996.
The banknote of 10,000 zlotych has a portrait of Polish poet and playwright Stanislaw Poniatowski on the obverse side. The reverse side features the Planty Park around the old town of Krakow. The 10,000 old zlotych note was replaced by a coin of 1 new zloty in 1995. In that year, the New Polish Zloty was introduced as Poland’s new currency, replacing the old Polish zloty at a rate of 10,000 old zlotych for 1 new zloty.
