Waffen SS--Azad Hind Free India . Set of nine different stamps with surcharge. Imperforate. Printed in 1943 in Berlin, the stamps were intended for the Nazi supported Waffen SS units of Subhas Chandra Bose in his efforts to combat the British Forces in India. The stamps were printed both perforated and Imperforate. The set has surcharges to help finance the war effort. A 1 Rupee stamp in three different formats was also issued. Sold separately.
